Confirms the material is what the label says — typically by mass spectrometry against the expected molecular weight.

The share of the target compound in the sample, usually measured by HPLC and read against its specification.

A visual check of the supplied form — for example a white to off-white lyophilized powder.

The lot number that links vial, carton and certificate, the date of analysis and the issuing laboratory.
